Instagram Adds A Profile Display Option For Reels

Instagram has introduced a new Profile display option for Reels. Now, when users post a Reel, they can share it to either their Main grid and Reels grid or exclusively to their Reels grid. Regardless of the chosen option, the Reel will always remain visible on the Reels grid, but users can add or remove it from their main grid at any time.

Why It Matters: This feature allows creators to decide where their Reels are showcased. Opting to share to the main profile maximizes visibility. Yet, the ability to exclusively share to the Reels grid is also valuable for those who want to maintain an aesthetic across their main grid, in particular.

Speaking of aesthetics, Instagram also recently launched a Grid Preview feature that allows creators to preview how their photo or carousel posts will appear on their grid before publishing.
